What you'll do

The ad describes a systems analyst's normal toolkit pointed at an AI project: analysing systems and business processes for improvement, eliciting and validating requirements, building process models, using SQL to pull and interpret data, and troubleshooting technical problems. The explicitly AI-facing line is supporting the design and validation of training data and scenarios.

In practice that likely means writing realistic analyst scenarios (a requirements conflict, a broken data flow, a process worth remodelling) and judging whether a model handles them the way an experienced analyst would. The ad does not describe the task format in more detail, so treat that as our reading rather than a promise. Collaboration with project managers and developers is virtual.

Who fits

  • At least five years as a computer systems analyst or in closely related technical consulting
  • Requirements elicitation and business process modelling with BPMN, UML or similar
  • Advanced SQL for analysis, reporting and troubleshooting
  • Turning business requirements into technical specifications
  • A record of effective remote collaboration
  • Exposure to AI-related or transformation projects is a plus

Location

The ad specifies Remote (US based), so this listing is limited to people in the United States.

What it pays

$60–120/hour, micro1's published band. The ceiling is double the floor and the ad does not say what decides placement. No pay structure, hours or duration are stated.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Values mainstream analyst skills rather than research credentials
  • No degree requirement stated
  • A high ceiling for BA and systems-analysis experience

Less good:

  • US residents only
  • Only 10 openings
  • A wide band with no published basis for placement
  • The actual task format is vague
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage

About this listing

Posted by micro1 on its own jobs portal about a month before we read it on 24 September 2026. The band, US location requirement and qualifications come from that listing. Payment schedule and visa terms are not published on the ad. See micro1.
