Where Toloka work went
If you are searching for Toloka AI jobs in 2026, the worker side of Toloka no longer runs under the Toloka name. The old Tolokers page at toloka.ai now permanently redirects to a welcome page on Mindrift, which states that the tasks and projects from Toloka and Toloka Annotators have moved to Mindrift, and that your account, balance and history moved across automatically: you log in to Mindrift with the same details. Toloka does not date the move on any page we could read, so we have not given one.
Toloka the company is still very much operating. It sells human-generated training and evaluation data to AI developers, and its about page names Anthropic, Amazon and Microsoft as clients, puts its headquarters in Amsterdam, and dates the company to 2014. What changed is the contributor side: Mindrift, which Toloka describes as its platform for sourcing domain experts for AI training projects, is now also where the general crowd tasks live. Our Mindrift page covers how that platform works, what it publishes about pay and payouts, and what its contributors report.
Ownership, briefly
Toloka started in 2014 as a crowdsourcing platform, and its parent company, Nebius Group, has roots in Yandex: SiliconANGLE's report on Toloka's 2025 funding round notes that Nebius was originally the parent organisation of Yandex. In May 2025 Nebius announced that Bezos Expeditions would lead an investment in Toloka, with Shopify CTO Mikhail Parakhin joining as executive chairman of a new board; Nebius kept a significant economic stake but gave up majority voting control. SiliconANGLE put the round at $72 million and reported that Toloka relies on a network of more than 200,000 annotators and other professionals. Olga Megorskaya, the founder, remains chief executive.
Worth knowing
Good:
- An existing Toloka account is not lost: Mindrift states the balance and history moved across with it
- Toloka's client list, as it publishes it, is the frontier labs this market depends on, so the demand behind the work is real
- The general tasks still need no application: Mindrift's all-access route lets you register and start without a CV
Less good:
- Reviewers on Toloka's Trustpilot page (2.3 out of 5 from about 200 reviews when we checked) repeatedly describe accounts frozen or banned without explanation and support with no route to appeal
- One Trustpilot reviewer in June 2026 put earnings at no more than $4 an hour and noted that training and tests were unpaid; another in August 2026 reported tasks becoming rarer
- Old guides and videos about Toloka describe an app, a payout set-up and a task feed that no longer exist in that form; check anything you read against Mindrift's current pages
About this page
The redirect and the migration statement were checked on toloka.ai and mindrift.ai on 29 September 2026; company facts come from Toloka's about page and the Nebius press release, and funding and network figures from SiliconANGLE. We have left the pay, payout and country fields on this page empty on purpose: Toloka no longer pays contributors under its own name, and the figures that now apply are Mindrift's. Worker reports come from Trustpilot and are attributed where they appear; we could not read Reddit threads on Toloka and have not relied on them.
