AI training jobs in Pakistan: pay, platforms and requirements
Country guide · Today
Pakistan is missing from Mercor's supported countries and from PayPal's payouts table, which narrows the field before you apply. What is left, mostly micro1, still includes Urdu and Punjabi transcription work. What AI training jobs in Pakistan pay, what they ask for, and how payment can reach you.
Which platforms accept Pakistan
On 12 October 2026 this site had 761 listings. None is limited to Pakistan or excludes it by name, and 595 set no country restriction. If you are looking for AI training jobs in Pakistan, the real pool is smaller than that.
Pakistan is not on Mercor's supported countries page, and Mercor says it does not engage contractors in countries outside that list. That removes Mercor's 202 open listings, including its English and Urdu AI safety role at $16–22 an hour and a Punjabi lyrics role at $15. Pakistan is not among the 21 countries and regions micro1's experts page says it cannot hire from, so micro1's 363 open listings stay in. Invisible Technologies (27) and Alignerr (3) publish no country list we could find. That leaves 393 listings, which you can browse from all listings.
Urdu and Punjabi work
micro1 has two transcription roles in Pakistan's main languages, both open worldwide. Its Urdu transcription expert role pays $10–22 an hour and its Punjabi transcription expert role $8–15. Both ask for transcription of audio and video, speaker labelling and metadata tagging. micro1's bilingual mental health expert role also names Urdu among its languages and pays $100–200, but it is a senior clinical psychology role. The Urdu and Punjabi filters show everything, Mercor's roles included, so check the company before applying.
What the rest pays
Rates are in US dollars and set per listing. The 385 hourly listings outside Mercor have a median midpoint of $70. At the entry level, micro1's data annotator role pays $6–8 an hour, its video annotation roles $8–10 and its evaluation specialist role for recent graduates $20–60.
Working English is expected almost everywhere, because guidelines and feedback are written in English. Expert roles add a degree, a licence or years of practice. Identity and right-to-freelance checks are covered in who can actually do this work.
Getting paid in Pakistan
Pakistan does not appear in PayPal's payouts country table, so do not count on a PayPal payout. Stripe's Global Payouts recipient list does include Pakistan, paid in rupees by wire, and asks for ID and an address that is not a PO box. Pakistan is not on Wise's list of countries where you can hold a balance.
Which platform uses which service is in payment platforms and the countries they do not cover. Ask micro1 or any other platform which route it would use for Pakistan before you sit an unpaid assessment.
Registration and tax
The Pakistan Software Export Board runs a freelance programme and says it offers benefits to freelancers. We could not confirm its current terms or how the Federal Board of Revenue taxes foreign freelance income from an official page, so we leave the details to PSEB, the FBR or a tax professional.
