What you'll do
This is research and evaluation, not production engineering. As part of a cohort of senior domain experts, you design realistic technical scenarios in audio, design or UX, write expert-level reference solutions and grading rubrics, and judge AI-generated output for correctness, depth and domain judgment. In the ad's words, you define what "correct" and "excellent" look like on problems you already know well.
Who qualifies
- 6 to 10 years of experience in the Media domain and a bachelor's degree (a master's is a plus)
- Currently or recently active in the field, hands-on rather than only academic
- Strong written communication, since you author explanations and structured feedback
- Comfortable with independent, asynchronous remote work
Preferred: a research publication record, open-source work or recognised output; experience reviewing or grading others' technical work; and, for the Media track, audio engineering, linguistics or multimodal design. The ad names no country requirement.
The ad warns that applicants who meet fewer than 70% of the stated qualifications may be flagged for misrepresenting their experience, which could affect future project staffing, and that it runs background checks. Apply only if you fit.
What it pays
The ad's own text gives $100 to $170/hr based on experience. The board headlines $135/hr.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Remote, flexible and async, built to fit around other work
- Work uses senior expertise rather than routine annotation
Less good:
- The ad does not state weekly hours, payment terms or hiring steps; see the company page
- The 70% warning and background checks make this a no-casual-applications listing
- The brief is broad (audio, design and UX), so check the Media track fits your specialty
