Skills
  • human resources
  • recruitment
  • employee relations
  • compensation
  • employment law
  • case study writing

What you'll do

You write the HR problems that AI models get tested on, then check how well they answer. The ad lists topics such as recruitment strategy, interview technique, performance evaluation, conflict resolution, compensation planning, employment law compliance and onboarding. Each case has to be hard enough to separate a good answer from a plausible one.

The second half of the job is review: you validate model responses and give detailed feedback on accuracy, adherence to HR best practice and employment regulations. You also work with other HR and technical experts to tune question difficulty so the material is both challenging and educational.

Who fits

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven HR experience across functions such as recruitment, employee relations, compensation and compliance
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, with an eye for detail

Preferred: several years across diverse HR functions (talent acquisition, performance management, benefits, HRIS), involvement in HR training or policy work, and familiarity with AI-driven HR tools. Certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) are a plus, and the application form has an optional field for one.

What it pays

$50/hr, the figure the board shows. The ad text gives no range, so treat it as a flat rate.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Remote and asynchronous, on your own schedule
  • Degree-or-equivalent wording means experience can substitute for a formal qualification
  • Employment-law and policy judgment is the skill being bought, not tool familiarity

Less good:

  • Lower than AfterQuery's senior operations and consulting bands
  • Employment law differs by country and the ad does not say which jurisdiction the cases follow
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
  • The listing does not publish payment terms or hours; the company page describes how AfterQuery pays in general

AfterQuery's help centre describes an unpaid, one-attempt assessment and ID verification for expert pools; this listing does not describe its own hiring steps.
