What you'll do
You design marketing scenarios that test whether an AI model can apply real marketing principles, and you grade what it produces. The ad names brand strategy, digital marketing, consumer behaviour, market positioning and campaign optimisation as the territory. Questions have to be difficult enough to expose shallow, generic answers.
You then validate model responses, giving detailed feedback on logical consistency and fit with marketing best practice, and you work with other marketing and technical experts to calibrate difficulty.
Who fits
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience in marketing practice, strategy or consulting across several disciplines
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication with attention to detail
Preferred: several years of practice across industries and channels, marketing publications or thought leadership, martech involvement, and familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools.
What it pays
$45/hr, the figure the board shows. The ad text gives no range.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Remote and asynchronous, fitted around other work
- Experience can stand in for a degree
- Strategy judgment, not software skill, is what is being assessed
Less good:
- Marketing advice is highly context dependent, so expect to be writing and grading answers where reasonable experts disagree
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
- Hours, project length and payment terms are not published on the listing; the company page describes how AfterQuery pays in general
AfterQuery's help centre describes an unpaid, one-attempt assessment and ID verification for expert pools; this listing does not describe its own hiring steps.
