What you'll do

Each application you build becomes part of an AI training dataset. The ad asks for complete, production-quality applications, written from scratch across varied business domains, using a fixed stack: Next.js, Redis and SQL databases. Examples named are dashboards, management systems, workflow tools and data-driven platforms. Each should include user authentication, data management, real-time features, reporting and complex business logic, and together they should show different architectural patterns.

The stack is narrow on purpose. This is closer to repeatable app-building across many domains than to long-lived product work.

Who fits

  • Strong Next.js, including server-side rendering and API routes
  • Redis for caching, sessions and real-time data
  • Solid SQL design (PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar): schemas, queries, relationships, optimization
  • Ability to architect all three together, with efficient data flow between frontend, cache and database
  • Tailwind CSS for responsive, utility-first interfaces
  • 2 or more years of experience

What it pays

The board shows $80/hr and the ad gives no range. The listing does not publish its payment terms or weekly hours.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A well-defined stack, so you know quickly whether you fit
  • Builds a varied portfolio of complete applications
  • Remote contract work

Less good:

  • The stack is rigid; experience in other frameworks does not substitute
  • The ad title says mid level and the URL says senior; the stated bar is 2 or more years
  • Payment terms and hours are not stated
  • Open since October 2025, so confirm it is still taking applicants

About this listing

Read from the AfterQuery Experts board on 18 October 2026 (posted 19 October 2025, still open). The ad says AfterQuery's latest round came from BoxGroup, Y Combinator and strategic angels. AfterQuery's help centre describes an unpaid, one-attempt assessment and ID verification for its expert pools. See AfterQuery.
