What you'll do

AfterQuery wants producers and directors to write the questions that test whether an AI model understands how media actually gets made. You develop production questions and case studies on topics such as script interpretation, shot composition, talent direction, production scheduling, budget management, creative problem-solving and post-production workflows.

You also evaluate and validate model responses with detailed feedback on accuracy and adherence to industry standards, and work with a team of production and technical experts to tune question difficulty so the content is challenging but educational.

Who fits

  • A bachelor's degree in Film, Theater, Media Production or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience as a producer, director or in production leadership, with a solid grasp of workflows and creative process
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication and an eye for detail

Preferred: several years across formats (film, television, theater, commercials, digital), involvement in production training or guilds, experience with budgeting, crew management, post-production or distribution, and familiarity with AI-driven production tools. The ad states no minimum years.

What it pays

The board shows $75/hour and the ad text gives no range. This listing does not publish its payment terms (payout schedule, weekly hours or method) and does not describe its hiring steps. The AfterQuery company page covers how payment generally works.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Broad scope across film, television, theater and digital content
  • Remote and asynchronous, on your own schedule
  • A flat headline rate that is higher than many creative-field contractor rates

Less good:

  • No weekly hour expectation, rate range or hiring process is stated
  • The ad is mostly about question writing and feedback, not hands-on production
  • Work availability is not described
