What you'll do

This is a short review project rather than an open-ended pool. AfterQuery is bringing on psychiatrists for a 3 week project starting in October 2026. You read how AI models answer psychiatric cases and judge whether they got the diagnosis, treatment reasoning, medication considerations and risk handling right. You then explain where a response goes wrong and what a licensed psychiatrist would do instead. Some contributors also help write realistic clinical vignettes and reference responses.

Who fits

  • MD or DO from a US institution
  • An active US medical licence (full or training), practising or training in psychiatry in the US
  • Attending psychiatrists and residents or fellows in a US psychiatry programme are both welcome, in any subspecialty
  • Clear written English, enough that another psychiatrist can follow your reasoning

Preferred: psychopharmacology, risk assessment or emergency and inpatient psychiatry experience, teaching residents or writing board-review content, and an interest in how AI handles mental health conversations. The form asks for a medical licence, marked optional.

What it pays

$125/hr, matching the board figure, paid weekly via Stripe. The ad gives no range and no minimum weekly hours; it says to work as much or as little as fits around your clinical schedule, with no screen recording, keystroke monitoring or idle timers.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Residents and fellows are explicitly welcome
  • Fully async, with no fixed hours
  • Hiring is shorter than for the pool roles: a review, then onboarding

Less good:

  • A fixed 3 week project, so it is not ongoing work as described
  • US degree and US licence required
  • Onboarding includes ID verification, and AfterQuery's help centre describes it as a government ID plus a selfie
  • Contractor status: no benefits, your own tax to manage

About this listing

Read on the AfterQuery Experts board on 18 October 2026; the ad was posted on 6 October. The steps are an application with licence details, a review that gives every applicant a decision, then onboarding with ID verification, the contractor agreement and Stripe. See AfterQuery.
