What you'll do
You write sales management questions and case studies that challenge AI models, then evaluate the models' answers. The ad names team coaching, performance management, pipeline analysis, quota setting, sales strategy, territory planning and client relationship management as example topics. You give detailed feedback on whether a response is accurate and follows sales management best practice, and you work with a team of sales and technical experts to tune question difficulty.
The ad specifically asks for experience managing sales teams in B2B, wholesale, commercial or other non-retail environments. If your background is retail floor management, AfterQuery lists a separate retail and wholesale role, which is the closer fit.
Who fits
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience managing sales teams in B2B, wholesale, commercial or other non-retail sales, with a solid grasp of sales processes and team leadership
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail
Preferred: multiple years across industries and sales models (inside, field, channel), involvement in sales training, revenue operations or sales technology, experience with CRM systems, forecasting, territory management or compensation planning, and familiarity with AI-driven sales tools.
What it pays
The board shows $93/hr. The ad text states no range, so the listing uses that single figure. The ad does not say how or when you are paid, or how many hours a week to expect; the company page covers AfterQuery's published payment arrangements.
How the process works
The ad does not describe its hiring steps. AfterQuery's help centre describes an unpaid, one-attempt assessment and ID verification; see the AfterQuery company page.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Remote, flexible and asynchronous, per the ad
- Rewards real management experience; equivalent experience can stand in for a degree
- The ad describes the company as Y Combinator-backed
Less good:
- No hours, payment terms or hiring process in the ad itself
- The work is writing and evaluating, not managing a team
- The ad does not spell out contractor status; confirm the terms at onboarding
