What you'll do

AfterQuery wants working scrum masters to build the agile scenarios AI models are tested on. You author realistic situations from sprint planning through retrospectives, write reference answers explaining the facilitation reasoning behind each intervention, and grade model output for agile soundness and awareness of team dynamics.

The standout duty is flagging advice that reads as textbook correct but would harm a real team. Models are good at reciting the Scrum Guide; experienced facilitators know when following it to the letter goes wrong.

Who fits

  • 2+ years as a scrum master or agile delivery lead for software teams
  • Experience facilitating the full ceremony cycle
  • Depth in backlog management, impediment removal and team coaching
  • Clear written English
  • Able to commit at least 10 hours a week

Preferred: CSM, PSM or SAFe certification, experience coaching several teams or scaling agile, and a background as developer, tester or product owner.

What it pays

The board headlines $90/hour; the ad's contract section states $70 to $110/hour, set from your experience and not negotiated down after you start, paid weekly via Stripe. Further terms in the ad: fully remote and async with no fixed hours, a 10 hour weekly minimum with no maximum, no screen recording, keystroke monitoring or idle timers, and independent contractor status with ongoing project work.

How hiring works

Apply with a resume and a few structured questions (about five minutes); every application is read against a published rubric and gets a decision; you may be asked for a written assessment; then onboarding (contractor agreement, Stripe, platform access) and a project match, usually within a week.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Stated range, payment method and no-monitoring policy
  • A rare fit for non-coding agile practitioners in AI work
  • Hours you set each week above the minimum

Less good:

  • The 10 hour minimum is a firm commitment
  • Where you land in the range depends on your experience as AfterQuery reads it
  • A written assessment may be required and project matching is not guaranteed
