Senior Full-Stack Engineer

What you'll do

The work is building software that is itself the product: each finished application becomes part of an AI training dataset. You design and develop complete applications from scratch across varied business domains, using Next.js, Redis and SQL databases.

The ad names the kinds of application: dashboards, management systems, workflow tools and data-driven platforms, each with real functionality such as user authentication, data management, real-time features, reporting and business logic. The point is variety in architecture and features, not one big product.

Who fits

• 5+ years as a software engineer
• Strong Next.js, including server-side rendering and API routes
• Redis for caching, sessions and real-time data
• SQL design (PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar): schemas, queries, relationships, optimisation
• Ability to architect the three together and manage data flow between frontend, cache and database
• Tailwind CSS for responsive interfaces

What it pays

The board shows $140/hour. The ad gives no range, no weekly hours and no payment terms; the AfterQuery company page describes weekly Stripe payouts and the one-attempt unpaid assessment used across its expert pools.

Worth knowing

Good:

• One of the higher engineering rates on AfterQuery's board
• A concrete, narrow stack, so you know whether you fit
• Work that is actual building rather than review

Less good:

• Stack-specific: strong in Next.js, Redis and SQL together or it is not for you
• The ad does not state hours, volume or contract length
• Posted in October 2025 and still open, so check whether projects are currently active when you apply
