What you'll do

You create and refine mobile development challenges that test whether AI models can handle real iOS work. That means writing questions and case studies on UI development, state management, networking, data persistence, memory management, app lifecycle and debugging; evaluating model responses and giving detailed feedback on technical accuracy and iOS best practice; and working with other mobile experts to tune difficulty so content is challenging and educational.

Who fits

  • Proven experience developing iOS apps in Swift, with solid understanding of iOS frameworks and mobile patterns
  • Strong knowledge of Swift syntax, UIKit or SwiftUI, and the iOS SDK
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, with attention to detail

Preferred: several years of iOS work with published App Store apps; architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, VIPER), Combine, async/await and Core Data; open-source iOS or technical writing work; Xcode, Interface Builder and performance tooling; and familiarity with AI or machine learning in iOS apps.

The ad sets no minimum years of experience or degree.

What it pays

The board shows $70/hour. The ad describes the role as remote, flexible and asynchronous, with no stated weekly hours or payment terms; the AfterQuery company page describes general payouts and assessments.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Open-ended entry bar: proven Swift experience rather than a set number of years
  • Remote and on your own schedule
  • Writing and evaluating work, not app delivery

Less good:

  • Lower rate than AfterQuery's backend and ML engineering listings
  • The ad does not state volume or duration
  • Strong written communication matters as much as Swift skill
