What you'll do

Of micro1's editing-software listings, this is the one with the most making in it. Alongside the annotation (analysing, tagging and categorising video in Premiere Pro so it can feed an AI training pipeline) you create, modify and composite motion graphics in After Effects to illustrate or enhance the dataset.

You also write down how you edited and annotated, because the methodology itself goes into the training data, and you give feedback on the annotation guidelines. The customer and the model are not named, and the ad does not say what the motion graphics are meant to illustrate.

Who fits

  • Hands-on Premiere Pro and After Effects: effects, transitions, keyframing and compositing
  • Professional editing experience with motion graphics and visual storytelling
  • Clear written documentation habits and an eye for detail
  • The ability to manage your own deliverables remotely

Content labelling or video annotation experience helps but is not required. The ad goes further than most on seniority: it says the role is not suited to senior-level professionals. If you have a decade of broadcast credits, the bottom of this band is not written for you.

What it pays

$15–80/hour, the same band micro1 uses across its Avid, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro and 3D animation listings. No basis for placement is published, and at $15 the floor sits under most freelance editing rates. Plan around the low end until you have an offer.

The ad gives no weekly hours, project length or pay mechanism.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Covers two of the most widely used tools in the industry, so plenty of editors already qualify
  • Motion graphics work means more craft than pure tagging
  • Explicitly open to early-career editors
  • Remote, with no country restriction named

Less good:

  • One opening
  • A $15–80 band with nothing on how you are placed in it
  • Senior editors are steered away by the ad itself
  • No hours, duration or pay structure stated
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
