What you'll do

This is evaluation work for manufacturing knowledge. An AI produces recommendations about CAM strategy, CNC machining and Fusion 360 manufacturing workflows; you judge whether they are right, refine them, and, most importantly, build detailed rubrics that let the client measure process accuracy and efficiency consistently.

Rubric writing is the core. A good one turns "that toolpath is a bad idea" into criteria someone else can apply: is the operation order sensible, are feeds and stepovers plausible for the material and tool, is workholding addressed, does the setup sheet match the program. The ad frames the goal as tools that support machinists and programmers, "not replace" them.

The ad marks teaching experience as "highly preferred". People who have taught CAM or run apprentices already know how to separate a wrong answer from a merely unusual one, which is exactly the distinction a rubric has to capture.

Who fits

All listed as preferred:

  • Proven expertise in CAM, CNC machining and digital manufacturing workflows
  • Advanced Fusion 360 proficiency and related manufacturing software
  • Clear, detailed written and verbal communication
  • Experience developing or using process evaluation rubrics
  • Teaching experience (highly preferred)

No degree, years or country restriction is stated; location is open worldwide.

What it pays

$60–120/hour as the published band, but compensation is output-based: you are paid per task that meets the project specification, minimum submission requirements apply, and you must submit a minimum number of tasks each week (the minimum is not stated). The band is therefore a target that depends on your throughput and acceptance rate, not an hourly guarantee.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Open worldwide, fully remote
  • A solid band for CAM knowledge that does not require you to touch a machine
  • 20 openings, flagged as high demand
  • Hiring route published: screening questions, an AI interview of about 30 minutes, then a hiring manager review
  • Rubric design is durable, transferable work

Less good:

  • Per-task pay with a weekly minimum whose size is not published
  • Fast start expected: roles fill within about 48 hours and first tasks begin 24–48 hours after onboarding
  • No weekly hours or project length stated
  • Contractor engagement with no benefits; payment schedule and method are not on the listing
