What you'll do
You strap a smartphone to your head and film yourself doing specified physical activities, mostly everyday tasks at home, from a first-person view with both hands in frame. The phone records video and its IMU motion sensors together, and that pairing is what the customer wants: synchronised footage and movement data of the kind used to teach robots and embodied AI how people actually move through ordinary chores.
The ad is written in Portuguese and frames the work as protocol-following rather than creative. Each clip has to meet the project's length, labelling and standardisation rules, and you are expected to report problems or observations about the capture process to the team. Onboarding includes a device-compatibility check and an AI-led interview.
Who fits
- A supported phone: iPhone 12 or newer, Google Pixel 6 or newer, or Samsung Galaxy S21 or newer
- A head strap for the phone that captures both hands, which you must have within 48 hours of your start date (the ad says specifications come during onboarding)
- The physical ability to repeat movement tasks safely
- Reliability: the ad sets a minimum of 10 to 15 hours of approved video every week
- Comfort with phone-based capture and clear written and spoken communication
Robotics, kinesiology, sensor data or dataset-labelling experience is a plus, but no AI experience is needed. The ad adds that applying with a Gmail address is an advantage because it eases access to the project tools.
Where it's open
Remote, for people based in Argentina, the Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay.
What it pays
The card shows $6/hour at both ends of the range. The ad's own compensation section says pay is by output: you are paid for each recorded video that meets the specification, and the time it takes depends on you. Read the $6 as an effective rate per hour of accepted footage rather than per hour worked, since setup, retakes and rejected clips are on your time.
Worth knowing
Good:
- No AI background or degree needed
- 1,000 openings and selection typically within 48 hours
- Work happens at home around your own routine
Less good:
- $6 per hour of accepted video is a low rate, and output-based pay means rejected clips earn nothing
- The weekly minimum of 10 to 15 hours of video is a real commitment
- You supply the head strap, on a 48-hour deadline, and the ad does not mention reimbursement (the US sibling listing does)
- Filming inside your home is a privacy trade-off: check what appears in frame
- Contractor engagement ("Prestador(a) de Serviços"): no benefits
About this listing
Read on micro1's jobs portal on 24 September 2026, posted about a month earlier. Its internal title is "Gravador(a) de Vídeos em Casa". The country list, the equipment rules and the pay text are micro1's; the notes on effective pay and privacy are ours. micro1 runs a US version of the same project at a higher band. See micro1.
