What you'll do

Lithuanian is one of the smaller EU languages, heavily inflected and thinly represented in the clinical text AI models are trained on. This role asks Lithuanian psychiatrists to supply what is missing. You develop and evaluate complex psychiatric case studies built on realistic, culturally specific scenarios, and you annotate psychological assessments from the perspective of a clinician who has practised in Lithuanian.

The written output runs in both Lithuanian and English and has to be accurate clinically and culturally. The ad asks for familiarity with both Western and Lithuanian psychiatric frameworks, and for help building bilingual communication frameworks for psychiatric information, so part of the job is deciding how symptoms, diagnoses and treatment should be phrased across the two languages.

You also review sensitive case content with confidentiality and ethics in mind, give feedback on the methods AI systems use to evaluate mental health content, and share what you find with the AI project teams.

Who fits

micro1 lists these as preferred qualifications:

  • A medical degree (MD, MBBS or equivalent), a completed psychiatry residency and a valid medical licence
  • Native Lithuanian and advanced English, written and spoken
  • Extensive experience in psychiatric assessment, treatment planning and case documentation within Lithuanian clinical settings
  • Cultural sensitivity and ethical reasoning on complex mental health scenarios
  • A background in developing teaching materials or case studies for education or research
  • Interdisciplinary project experience, ideally in technology, research or digital health
  • Familiarity with both Western and Lithuanian psychiatric frameworks

No AI experience is needed. Which jurisdiction's licence counts is not stated.

What it pays

$100–200/hour, micro1's published band. The ad does not explain placement within it, or whether the rate is for time or a per-task equivalent.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A high hourly rate in USD for work that uses clinical judgement directly
  • 70 openings for a small language community, so competition from qualified applicants is likely limited
  • Case-writing and teaching experience count, which suits psychiatrists involved in training or research
  • Remote with no country restriction on the listing

Less good:

  • A medical degree, residency and licence buy the same $100–200 band as micro1's psychology PhD listings
  • A 2x spread with no published basis for placement
  • No hours, duration or start date stated
  • Sustained work on difficult psychiatric material can be draining
  • The skills list on the listing card includes "Bilingual in japanese", which matches nothing in the description and looks like a leftover from another posting; the text itself asks only for Lithuanian and English
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
