  • drug safety
  • pharmacokinetics
  • clinical research

What you'll do

You review pharmaceutical content and data for a technology project. That means checking drug information for scientific and clinical accuracy: indications, contraindications, adverse effects, safety and efficacy claims. You apply pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and mechanism-of-action knowledge to realistic scenarios, and you read clinical research and drug-development material looking for mistakes and weak spots.

The scope also includes creating content, not only reviewing it, and the work arrives as structured evaluation, annotation and quality-review tasks with written reasoning against established standards. The ad calls it a "technology-focused project" and does not name AI directly, but the task format is the one used for model training data.

Who fits

  • A PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent advanced degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology or clinical pharmacology
  • Professional experience in pharma, clinical research, drug development, pharmacology or pharmacovigilance
  • A strong grasp of drug safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics and mechanisms of action
  • Experience reading clinical data and scientific literature critically
  • Strong analytical reasoning and clear writing

These are listed as preferred qualifications. No minimum years is set.

What it pays

$80–285/hour, micro1's published band; the Primary Care Physician role posted the same day has the same figures. The ad does not say what decides placement within that range. It is well above micro1's Pharmacovigilance Expert listing at $70–80/hour, which is worth knowing if you have seen both.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Accepts several routes in: pharmacists, pharmacologists, clinical researchers and physicians
  • A very high ceiling for desk-based review
  • 30 openings and a high-demand badge

Less good:

  • The band is so wide that the floor is what you should plan on until told otherwise
  • The ad does not say what the content is for, beyond a technology project
  • No hours, project length or screening steps published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
