What you'll do

You play, and the recording is the product. You run curated PC titles while capture software records per-frame synchronised gameplay video alongside your keyboard and mouse input, plus engine-level signals and in-game event data as the project specifies. The point is to give AI models examples of how skilled humans actually play, matched input to screen.

Around the sessions there is annotation of gameplay scenarios and events, and hands-on QA: noting bugs, glitches and data anomalies. You send written and spoken progress updates to project managers and technical contacts, and follow the project's data security and privacy rules.

The ad asks for consistent participation: daily sessions of at least 2 to 3 hours, with submissions on time.

Who fits

  • Strong PC gaming ability, ideally with a competitive or professional record
  • Experience with gameplay recording, telemetry capture or similar technical setups
  • A QA testing or detailed annotation background in games or nearby fields
  • Knowledge of mechanics, strategy and meta across several PC titles
  • Useful feedback on UX, bugs and game flow
  • Clear, proactive written and spoken communication
  • Reliability working remotely without supervision

The ad does not state hardware requirements, but running capture and telemetry alongside a game needs a capable PC; ask what spec is expected before you commit.

What it pays

$10–14/hour, micro1's published band. That is at the low end of anything micro1 lists and well below its annotation roles, which reflects that the core activity is playing. Two to three hours a day works out to roughly $20–42 a day at the published rates (our arithmetic, not micro1's). No compensation structure is stated.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • You are paid to play games, with a narrow and knowable band
  • One hundred openings
  • No degree or years requirement
  • No country restriction named on the ad

Less good:

  • $10–14 is low, and the daily 2–3 hour minimum turns a hobby into a schedule
  • You do not choose the games; they are curated
  • Telemetry capture records everything you do while it runs, so keep sessions on a clean setup
  • Hardware expectations and project length are not published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, no notice period, your own tax to manage
