What you'll do
You act as the senior reviewer for code an AI system writes. The ad (for an unnamed company building dialog agents) lists:
- Reviewing AI-generated code against quality standards and best practices
- Resolving hard coding problems that surface during AI validation
- Checking generated code for accuracy, efficiency and dependability
- Giving constructive feedback on teammates' code
- Working with cross-functional teams on improving the AI system
- Finding public GitHub repositories that need work, and adding features or reworking code, including on codebases of 50K+ lines
Who fits
- A bachelor's or master's in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience
- In-depth C and C++ knowledge and software best practice
- Ideally some experience leading or overseeing a group of engineers
- Problem-solving ability and strong written and spoken English
Nice to have: AI and code-generation experience, and past GitHub use.
What it pays
The ad does not publish a rate. Turing sets rates per project; see Turing.
Worth knowing
Good:
- C and C++ reviewers are a narrower pool than Python or JavaScript ones
- Duration and committed hours are flexible, which suits people with another job
Less good:
- Exact length and hours are not stated
- The ad is loosely written and mixes team-lead duties with AI review, so ask what the day-to-day will be
- Two interviews: 60 minutes technical and 15 to 30 minutes on culture and offer
- A posting from January 2025 that is still open
