What you'll do

This is the Java version of Turing's coding-trainer template, for a company building dialog agents for education, entertainment and question answering. You will:

  • Write and maintain efficient code used to train and optimise models
  • Run evals to benchmark model performance
  • Evaluate and rank model responses, with written rationales
  • Build task-specific datasets for supervised fine-tuning (SFT)
  • Work with researchers and annotators on RLHF and reward models
  • Peer review code and documentation, and explore new tooling

Who fits

  • Proficiency with Java syntax and conventions
  • A bachelor's or master's in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Web app experience with modular, scalable design and a focus on testing
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Nice to have: software QA and test planning

Unlike Turing's JavaScript listing, this one names no frameworks and does not ask for Docker; the bar is Java itself.

What it pays

The ad does not publish a rate. Turing sets rates per project; see Turing.

Less good:
