What you'll do

You act as the clinical check on a language model's dermatology output. Part of the work is reading AI-written medical text and judging it for accuracy, harmfulness and completeness: diagnoses, treatment plans and case summaries. The other part, which this posting stresses, is reviewing skin images in a structured online tool. There you rate whether an image is usable for diagnosis (blur, lighting, exposure, colour, framing), and where it applies name the likely condition, give a confidence rating and write down your reasoning.

You will also give feedback to AI researchers and clinicians so that model behaviour lines up with evidence-based dermatology. In practice that means your written rationale is the product, not only the label you pick.

Who fits

  • MBBS with a completed dermatology residency
  • At least 5 years of post-residency dermatology experience
  • Based in India (the ad marks this as mandatory)
  • Strong visual attention to detail, and comfort reviewing sensitive or graphic medical images
  • Able to work in web annotation platforms, use image zoom tools, follow detailed guidelines and complete structured questionnaires accurately
  • Preferred: experience in medical content review, clinical research, annotation or AI/ML evaluation

What it pays

The ad does not publish a rate. Turing sets rates per project, so expect to learn yours once you are matched; see Turing for what its listings usually disclose.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Image review is concrete, bounded work that draws directly on specialist training
  • Fully remote, with the structure laid out up front: 12 weeks, at least 4 hours a day, 40 hours a week
  • The shortlist process is stated: qualifications, assessment scores and one interview round

Less good:

  • No pay figure on the listing
  • The schedule needs 4 hours of overlap with PST, which is a late shift from India
  • Contractor assignment with no medical or paid leave
  • You will see graphic clinical images

About this listing

Posted on Turing's job board on 1 September 2026 and read on 18 October 2026. The India requirement, hours, duration and evaluation steps are Turing's own text; the comment on the PST overlap is ours. A sibling posting for US-licensed dermatologists exists on the same board. See Turing.
