What you'll do
This is the SciCode variant whose ad says the dataset is built in partnership with NVIDIA, the only one in the family to say so. You write a main biology problem with at least three connected sub-problems, then implement a verified Python golden solution with complete unit tests and discriminative test cases.
Work is validated on Turing's Central Task Platform (Tier 1 structure, Tier 2 rubrics) and revised until it meets Pass@K targets across GPT, Gemini and Nemotron judges. The goal is approval on first submission. You join sync calls for reviews and standups in overlap hours.
Who qualifies
- Master's or PhD in Biology or similar fields
- Strong Python with scientific computing experience
- Ability to write rigorous, well-posed problems with clear expected outputs
- Care over well-posedness, discriminativeness, correctness and determinism
- Prior AI data annotation, research or scientific writing
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks or coding benchmarks; NumPy, SciPy, SymPy or domain tools
- Published research or academic project experience in a STEM domain
What it pays
The ad does not publish a rate. Turing sets rates per project, see Turing.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Combines bioinformatics-style coding with a science degree
- Named partner on the project, which hints at a well-resourced program
Less good:
- 40 hours a week, 4 hours of Pacific-time overlap, 8 weeks
- Contractor assignment, no medical or paid leave
- Location restricted to Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey and Vietnam
- Programming strength matters as much as biology
