How it works

Deccan AI builds post-training data and evaluation tooling for AI labs and enterprises, and recruits domain experts through a separate expert site. Access is by invitation: you request an invite, your profile is evaluated, and selected applicants attend an induction session, complete training and evaluation, and then move to paid launch and project deployment. Applicants who are not selected straight away are placed on a waitlist. The listed task types are preference ranking (compare model answers and justify the best), trajectory evaluation (spot mistakes in a model's steps and give the correct sequence) and prompt and response creation.

Worth knowing

Good:

• Deccan states that rates are shared upfront and that projects pay per hour, per task or a mix of both
• It publishes a payout calendar, with payments processed on or after the 2nd and the 17th of the month
• Training and an induction session come before paid work, so the expectations are explicit

Less good:

• The network is invite-only and has a waitlist, so access is not immediate
• Deccan does not publish a rate, payment method or list of eligible countries on the pages we checked
• Press headlines quoted on its own page mention figures such as up to $50 an hour; those come from outside articles, not Deccan's terms, so check the rate on your project brief
