Spanish AI training jobs: pay, platforms and which Spanish they want

Overview · Today

Spanish is one of the most requested languages on this site, but the variety you speak and where you live decide more than fluency does. From the 16 listings that require Spanish: the roles and platforms, what each pays, which want Peninsular, Mexican or US Spanish, and a payment gap for four Latin American countries.

The Spanish board in numbers

On 12 October 2026, 16 of the 761 listings on this site required Spanish. Mercor posted 12, micro1 two and Invisible Technologies two. Hourly rates run from $10 to $190, with a median midpoint of $50, and eight of the 16 have no country restriction. They are all on the Spanish language filter.

The tasks vary more than the language does. The linguistic expert role evaluates AI-written Spanish for grammar, style and regional usage. micro1's language expert transcribes audio that mixes Spanish and English and adds metadata. The audiobook role marks errors in synthetic narration. The tutoring pair records real lessons, with tutors needing a degree and three years of experience, and the learner role paying native English speakers to be the student.

Which Spanish they want

Check the variety before you apply, because several listings are strict about it. The Sonic Audit listing wants Spanish as spoken in Spain: born and raised there, or fully fluent with at least five years' residence. The audiobook listing wants US and North American Spanish, and pays $5 an hour less than the US English version of the same work. The voice-cloning listings split into Latin American, Mexican, Peninsular and Peruvian Spanish, each limited to people living where the accent comes from. The Mexican ChatGPT User role wants three to five years of living and studying in Mexico and a personal ChatGPT history mostly in Spanish. The tutoring listing is the open one: regional accents are welcome.

Voice cloning and the ChatGPT history role pay well for entry-level work because you are licensing your voice or your private conversations. Read our privacy guide before you sign either.

Check you can be paid

Mercor pays through Stripe Connect, or Wise in some countries, and its supported countries page lists Cuba, Honduras, Nicaragua and Venezuela as unsupported. The Latin American voice-cloning listing names all four among its eligible countries. If you live in one of them, confirm with Mercor how you would be paid before you record anything.

How Spanish compares

Spanish sits in the middle of Mercor's market-priced tiers. Its Sonic Audit role pays $39.50 in Spanish against $41.50 in French and German and $18 in Hindi, as our bilingual guide sets out. A professional skill moves the number more than the language: the same board pays a Spanish-speaking physician $170 or more and a Spanish transcriber $20 to $36.
