How it works

Pareto AI's homepage describes the company as "Expert data for AGI". Its experts page invites specialists to register on its contributor portal. Listed fields are medicine and health, law and policy, STEM and research, finance and strategy, software and ML, and language and humanities. If your field is not listed, you can still create an account and share a resume.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and Pareto says it contacts you when there is a strong match for your background.

Worth knowing

Good:

• Open to many professional backgrounds, including fields outside the six it lists
• Registration is a single sign-up, with no per-project application to start
• Some Trustpilot reviewers describe the team as transparent and responsive, and the law projects as engaging

Less good:

• Pareto does not publish pay figures, payment methods, payout frequency or eligible countries on its experts page; it points to support@pareto.ai for those
• Registering does not guarantee a project; Pareto contacts only strong matches
• Reviewers on Trustpilot report that pay was withheld after their work was used and the contract ended, and one reviewer says the same happened to hundreds of contractors
• Other Trustpilot reviewers report payments delayed by weeks despite weekly payouts being promised; these are unverified reviewer claims, and we found no Pareto response to them
• The Trustpilot page also carries a complaint about a subscription plan, which concerns Pareto's customers rather than contractors
