- clinical writing
What you'll do
You write ultrasound scenarios covering technique, findings and next steps, write reference answers explaining the reasoning behind each protocol and measurement, and grade AI output for sonographic accuracy and patient safety. The flagging task is the interesting one: finding advice that reads correctly but would miss a critical diagnosis.
Because it is text-based scenario work, expect to describe images and measurements in words rather than read live scans.
Who fits
- ARDMS registration (RDMS, RDCS or RVT) in at least one specialty
- At least 2 years of clinical scanning
- Depth in image optimization, protocol selection and sonographic findings
- Clear written English for documenting technique and reasoning
- A commitment of at least 10 hours a week
Preferred: multiple ARDMS specialties including vascular or cardiac, high-risk OB, MSK or pediatric scanning, and experience training students or new sonographers. The form optionally asks for your ARDMS credential.
What it pays
The ad states $60 to $90 per hour, paid weekly via Stripe, with the rate set from experience. The board headlines $75/hr. The terms are a 10-hour weekly minimum with no maximum, fully async hours, no screen recording, keystroke monitoring or idle timers, and independent contractor status on ongoing project work.
How hiring works
Five steps: a five-minute application (resume plus structured questions), a resume review against a published rubric, a possible written assessment, onboarding (contractor agreement, Stripe, platform access) and a project match, usually within a week.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Weekly Stripe pay with no monitoring software
- No call and no weekends, per the ad
- Credential-based work that rewards scanning experience
Less good:
- Among the lower bands in AfterQuery's medicine listings
- ARDMS registration is required
- Assessment is described by AfterQuery's help centre as unpaid and single-attempt
