AI Filmmaker

Rex.Zone: pay and who it accepts · Posted

What you'll do

You produce short, story-led films of up to 10 minutes in English, made entirely with AI tools, for social platforms such as X and TikTok. You run the whole pipeline yourself: concept, script, AI visuals, storyboard, video generation and editing, with consistent characters and scenes across shots and episodes. You also review generated images and clips, regenerate weak ones, and keep the paper trail: script drafts, concept designs, master images, blocking diagrams, storyboards, prompts and generation logs. You join calibration and review sessions and give structured written feedback on tools.

Who fits

  • A portfolio of finished, purely AI-generated short films with clear storylines (drama, fantasy, sci-fi, comedy or twist stories preferred)
  • Social-platform storytelling: a hook in the opening seconds, fast pacing
  • Proven end-to-end delivery as a solo creator, director or small team
  • Traceable original and project files, and willingness to share works and process data once authorisation is confirmed
  • Fluent written English and the capacity to deliver multiple videos on an ongoing basis
  • Preferred: published AI story content, multi-tool workflows, or directing experience

No country restriction is stated, so we have left eligibility open.

What it pays

Rex.Zone states $30–60 per hour, varying with experience and qualifications. The ad does not explain how hours are counted for a creative deliverable.

Rights and data handling

Only submit work you made or have the right to share. Do not submit material under employer, client or third-party confidentiality, export-controlled or defence-related data, or anything containing credentials or personal data. Rex may ask for proof of ownership, verify submissions and reject or remove them, and the contractor agreement will set ownership and licence terms (the ad says these are still to be confirmed). Read those terms before applying.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A creative role with a stated hourly band, uncommon among AI training listings
  • Rewards a portfolio and process, not a degree
  • Remote and open worldwide

Less good:

  • A portfolio of finished AI films is a hard entry bar
  • Ownership and licence terms are still to be confirmed
  • Rex.Zone typically requires an entry exam and verified profile before applying
