Skills
  • emt
  • nremt
  • bls protocols
  • patient assessment
  • scene management

What you'll do

You write prehospital scenarios that run from dispatch through handoff, write reference answers with the field reasoning behind each protocol decision, and grade AI output for protocol accuracy and scene safety. The flagging task is advice that reads right but would get someone hurt on scene.

It is one of the few remote jobs that values 911 or interfacility experience directly, since the scenarios depend on knowing how calls really unfold.

Who fits

  • NREMT certification with an active state EMT license
  • At least 2 years of field experience on a 911 or interfacility service
  • Depth in patient assessment, BLS protocols and scene management
  • Clear written English for documenting assessments and handoffs
  • A commitment of at least 10 hours a week

Preferred: high call volume urban system experience, FTO, CE instructor or EMS education experience, and AEMT certification or active paramedic school enrollment. The form optionally asks for an EMT or paramedic credential.

What it pays

The ad states $40 to $65 per hour, paid weekly via Stripe, with the rate set from experience. There is a 10-hour weekly minimum with no maximum, fully async hours, no screen recording, keystroke monitoring or idle timers, and independent contractor status.

How hiring works

Five steps: a five-minute application (resume plus structured questions), a resume review against a published rubric, a possible written assessment, onboarding (contractor agreement, Stripe, platform access) and a project match, usually within a week.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Fits around shift work: no shifts or station time, per the ad
  • Weekly Stripe pay with no monitoring software
  • A path for EMTs and AEMTs, not only paramedics

Less good:

  • A 10-hour weekly minimum
  • Assessment is described by AfterQuery's help centre as unpaid and single-attempt
