Skills
  • medical assisting
  • ehr documentation
  • pharmacology basics
  • clinical writing
  • ai evaluation

What you'll do

You create and refine healthcare reasoning challenges for AI training. The ad lists the topics: patient intake, vital signs assessment, medical procedures, EHR documentation, clinical laboratory procedures and pharmacology basics. You write the questions and case studies, then evaluate model answers and give detailed feedback on clinical accuracy and whether they follow medical assisting standards of practice.

You also work with a team of healthcare and technical experts to tune question difficulty so the content is challenging but still educational. This is one of the few AI-evaluation roles aimed at medical assistants rather than physicians or nurses, so it values hands-on front-and-back-office knowledge.

Who fits

  • Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent) in good standing
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
  • Clinical practice experience across clinical and administrative duties
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills

Preferred: multiple years of practice across settings (primary care, specialty clinics, urgent care), prior healthcare training or quality improvement work, and extra certifications such as phlebotomy or EKG. The application form optionally asks for your medical assistant certification.

What it pays

$45/hr, as shown on the board. The ad text gives no range. It does not publish payment terms or a minimum weekly commitment; check the AfterQuery page and the application for those.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Remote and asynchronous, on your own schedule
  • Uses practical medical assisting knowledge that few AI projects ask for
  • Feedback and difficulty tuning happen with other experts, not alone

Less good:

  • Payment terms and weekly hours are not stated in the ad
  • Certification in good standing is required, not just experience
  • Independent contractor: no benefits, your own taxes
