What you'll do

You build and grade the product scenarios that AI labs use to test how well a model reasons like a product manager. The work has four parts: writing realistic scenarios that run from an ambiguous problem through to a shipped decision, writing reference answers where the trade-offs are explicit (what you cut, what you bet on, and why), grading model-written specs, roadmaps and strategy for judgment rather than formatting, and flagging plans that read polished but dodge the hard trade-off or ignore the user.

The grading emphasis is the interesting part. A model can produce a tidy PRD in seconds; the scarce skill is spotting the one that has quietly avoided the decision that mattered. If you have spent years reading other people's specs with that instinct, this is that skill with a rubric attached.

Who fits

  • At least 2 years as a product manager owning a live product or feature area
  • Shipped work you can point to, including specs, launches and the outcomes behind them
  • Fluency with the real tooling and rituals: roadmaps, PRDs, analytics and experiments
  • Clear written English, since the reasoning has to be documented
  • Able to commit at least 10 hours per week

Preferred, not required: B2B SaaS, consumer or platform product depth, a technical background or close work with engineers, and experience with AI or data products.

What it pays

The board headlines $85/hr. The ad's own contract section states a range of $60 to $110/hr, set from your experience and, per the ad, not negotiated down after you start. Pay is weekly via Stripe.

How the process works

The ad describes a five-minute application (resume plus a few structured questions), a resume review against a published rubric with a decision on every application, a possible written assessment for further placement, onboarding (contractor agreement, Stripe, platform access), and then a project match, usually within a week of onboarding.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Remote and fully async, with no fixed hours
  • Minimum 10 hours per week and no maximum, so you can scale up or down weekly
  • The ad states there is no screen recording, keystroke monitoring or idle timers
  • Ongoing project work rather than single task batches

Less good:

  • A 10-hour weekly minimum is a real commitment if your day job is demanding
  • The ad says you may be asked to take a written assessment, and a match to live work is not guaranteed by applying
  • Independent contractor status: no benefits, and your own taxes
