What you'll do
You write imaging scenarios that cover positioning, technique selection and safety calls, with reference answers that explain the reasoning behind each protocol choice. You then grade model output for technical accuracy and radiation safety. The failure the ad wants you to catch is advice that reads right but would produce a repeat exposure or an unsafe study.
Who fits
- ARRT certification, with an active state licence where one is required
- 2+ years of clinical imaging experience
- Depth in positioning, technique selection and radiation safety
- Clear written English for documenting imaging protocols and reasoning
- Able to commit at least 10 hours a week
Preferred: advanced CT, MRI or mammography certification, trauma, OR or interventional radiology experience, and experience training students or new technologists. The form asks for an ARRT credential, marked optional.
What it pays
The board headlines $70/hr, while the ad text states a range of $55 to $85/hr, set from your experience and paid weekly via Stripe. The ad says the rate is not negotiated down after you start.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Technologist-level knowledge is the qualification, not a physician degree
- Remote and fully async, no fixed hours and no weekly maximum
- No screen recording, keystroke monitoring or idle timers, according to the ad
- Ongoing project work rather than single task batches
Less good:
- A 10 hours a week minimum
- The work is written reasoning, not hands-on imaging, and the ad does not mention reading actual images
- A possible unpaid written assessment, which AfterQuery's help centre says cannot be retaken
- Contractor status: no benefits, your own tax to manage
