What you'll do
This is the clinical lens in a four-part pilot run by a biotech and pharma research team that is building expert evaluation of how AI analyses commercial drugs and development programs. Your question, for each drug or program in the pilot set, is the one a prescriber asks when a readout lands: does this change what I do?
In practice:
- Interpreting clinical trial endpoints, and judging whether the results would change prescribing
- Translating that into what it means for real-world uptake in your therapeutic area
- Creating and critiquing rubrics that capture this reasoning, so AI analysis of the same drugs can be graded
The gap between a statistically significant endpoint and a practice-changing one is exactly what models tend to blur, and it is the judgment a practising specialist makes routinely: the comparator arm, the population that was actually enrolled, whether the endpoint is one clinicians care about. The ad does not list those factors; they are the reasoning a strong rubric will need to spell out.
Who fits
- A disease-area clinician: practising physician, MD or DO
- Board-certified and actively practising in your specialty
- Deep expertise in a specific therapeutic area
- Familiarity with biotech and pharma development programs
The ad describes the role as US-based in its requirements, while the listing header also reads "US-based or deep US-market experience", and unlike the forecasting sibling it carries no formal location requirement. If you practise outside the US but know the US market well, the header suggests you may still be considered; confirm before applying.
What it pays
$150–230 per hour, the highest ceiling of the four pilots. At 10–20 hours that is roughly $1,500–4,600 for the pilot. Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise, as an independent contractor.
Commitment
About 10–20 hours in total over one to two weeks, with recurring work offered to strong contributors as the project scales.
Worth knowing
Good:
- High rate for a short, defined commitment
- Therapeutic-area depth is the whole point, so specialists are not diluted into generalist work
- Fits around clinical practice
- A path to recurring work
Less good:
- Active practice and board certification are both required
- Pilot-sized income unless it continues
- Location wording is inconsistent between the header and the requirements
- H-1B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported
- The research team and the drugs in the pilot are not named
