What you'll do

If you have spent late nights turning a partner's scribbles into a clean page, this is that job for an AI. You reconstruct PowerPoint slides so they are clearer and sharper, redesign presentations around a storyline, edit copy for precision and consistency, and turn raw material into pages an executive can read in seconds.

The consulting angle shows in what you are asked to judge: slide structure, flow between pages and overall coherence, the things a good engagement manager fixes before a client readout. You also contribute real examples and domain insight directly to the training and evaluation of the models, and give prompt feedback in an asynchronous team.

Who qualifies

This is the only listing of the four with a hard experience floor: at least two years in a client-facing role at a consulting firm is stated as required.

Beyond that, the ad prefers:

  • Expert PowerPoint and advanced presentation design
  • A portfolio showing data visualisation and visual storytelling
  • Precise editing for different audiences
  • Experience turning complex or technical content into accessible pages
  • The ability to critique narrative flow and design choices constructively

No AI experience is needed. A portfolio will help, but client decks are almost always confidential, so prepare sanitised rebuilds rather than originals.

What it pays

$150–350/hour, micro1's published band. For ex-consultants that is a strong rate for a skill most of them consider routine. The ad does not say what places you in the band or whether pay is hourly or per deliverable.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • 15 openings, the most of the four sibling listings
  • Rewards exactly the storylining and page-craft skills consulting trains
  • Asynchronous work, no AI experience needed
  • "High demand" badge

Less good:

  • Two years client-facing at a consulting firm is required; strong presenters from other fields do not qualify here
  • US, UK or Canada only
  • Wide band with no published placement criteria
  • No hours, duration or start date published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage

About this listing

Posted by micro1 on its own jobs portal on 25 September 2026 and read the next day. The two-year consulting requirement, the band, the 15 openings and the location are micro1's own text. The ad's location line reads "US, UK and CAN" where its siblings say "or"; we read it as the same three-country eligibility. micro1 posted this project four times, as Consulting, Finance, Software Engineering and Data Science Specialist, all at $150–350/hour. For PowerPoint work without a consulting background, micro1's Powerpoint Specialist listing pays $20–60/hour. See micro1.
