What you'll do
This is preference data for an AI that produces Office documents. You invent a realistic, demanding business task of the kind that would take a professional several hours without AI (a board-ready quarterly review deck, a pricing model with a summary memo, a restructuring proposal) and then work it through with a language model that reads and writes Office Open XML files, mainly .pptx.
Each task runs as a structured four-turn conversation. After every turn the model gives you two candidate deliverables; you pick the stronger one against defined quality dimensions and give feedback that steers the next round. Along the way you note where the model handles real business documents badly. The project is named in the ad as Project Navara.
The skill being bought is taste plus realism: knowing what a Fortune 500 deliverable actually looks like, and setting tasks hard enough that the comparison is meaningful.
Who fits
- 3+ years of recent experience on complex projects at Fortune 500 companies or top-tier consultancies
- Advanced PowerPoint, with significant Excel and Word, and a record of professional document creation and review
- Project experience in sectors such as finance, healthcare, consulting, tech or retail, and functions such as strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance or HR
- Experience designing realistic business scenarios for modelling, reporting and executive presentations
- Clear, actionable written and spoken feedback
- Prior use of LLMs or AI tools in iterative, conversational work is highly desirable
The ad names private equity associates, investment banking analysts, consultants, FP&A analysts, HR professionals and marketing strategists as strong fits.
What it pays
$20–60/hour, micro1's published band. For the Fortune 500 or top-consultancy background it asks for, the floor is low. The ad does not say what places you in the band, the hours or whether pay is per task.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Ninety-nine openings, among the largest on micro1's business listings
- A broad range of corporate backgrounds qualify, not only consultants
- Interesting work if you like pushing AI tools on real deliverables
Less good:
- A $20 floor for candidates with investment banking or consulting experience
- Designing multi-hour-equivalent tasks and judging four turns of paired outputs takes real time
- No hours, duration or pay structure published
- Contractor engagement: no benefits
