What you'll do

"Exocentric" means filmed from outside yourself: the camera sits above and behind you on a rig, pointing slightly down, so the footage shows your whole body moving through the world. You record continuous clips of everyday indoor and outdoor activity, walking through changing environments, and vehicle navigation with the camera fixed to the car. The ad also lists animal-mounted POV recordings among the capture types without explaining them.

Every clip has to be at least 60 seconds at 720p or better, keep your full body and the surroundings in frame, and follow the camera position set for each task.

What you need before you apply

This is the main difference from micro1's near-identical 360° Video Recorder listing. Here you must already own or have access to both:

• A compatible action or 360° camera producing a trailing third-person view at 720p or better (examples given: Insta360 X3 to X6, DJI Osmo 360, GoPro MAX / MAX2, or others with at least 170° FOV)
• Mounting hardware that achieves that view, such as a backpack mount, back-mounted rig or vehicle mount

The ad contradicts itself on selfie sticks: it lists one as acceptable mounting hardware, then says handheld selfie sticks do not give the required perspective. Assume a backpack or harness rig with an extension arm, like the Insta360 Third-Person Backpack Mount the ad names, is what will pass review.

What it pays

$20/hour according to the listing card. Unlike the 360° Video Recorder ad, the text of this one has no compensation section at all, so it does not say whether the $20 is per hour of approved footage (as on the sibling listing) or per hour worked. Assume the stricter reading until told otherwise.

Worth knowing

Good:

• Anyone who already films action-cam content has most of what is needed
• 100 openings, high demand
• If you already own a rig, you can start without waiting for shipping

Less good:

• Both camera and mount are your cost up front; the sibling listing's mount reimbursement is not mentioned here
• No pay mechanism, acceptance rate or weekly minimum is described
• Filming in public and while driving has practical and safety implications
• Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
