Skills
  • microsoft powerpoint
  • slide reconstruction
  • financial analysis
  • valuation
  • investor materials
  • data visualization

What you'll do

You take financial slides and make them what a CFO or a banking MD would actually present. That means reconstructing PowerPoint pages so complex numbers read at a glance, choosing the right chart for the point, tightening the storyline, and checking that every figure, label and footnote is right.

The finance content is where this listing differs from its siblings. You translate quantitative analysis and valuation results into investor-ready material, and when you review a draft you judge both data integrity (does the number on the slide match the model?) and persuasiveness (does the page make the case it needs to?). The work is asynchronous, and the output feeds a model that is being taught what a good financial deck looks like.

Who fits

  • Advanced financial analysis, modelling and valuation
  • A background in finance, investment banking, consulting or a related field
  • Direct experience preparing investor materials, pitch decks or board-level financial reports
  • Strong PowerPoint, ideally with a portfolio of rebuilt or custom-designed presentations
  • Data visualisation and visual storytelling aimed at financial audiences
  • Sharp editing, attention to detail and the confidence to give nuanced feedback

All of these are listed as preferred, and no AI experience is needed. In practice the profile is a banker, equity analyst, corporate development or FP&A professional who has spent years in PowerPoint. A portfolio is worth preparing, but mind confidentiality: redact or rebuild client work before sharing it.

What it pays

$150–350/hour, micro1's published band, and one of the highest on its board for non-engineering work. The spread is more than 2x, and the ad does not say what places you in it or whether pay is hourly or per deck.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Pays like senior finance time, for skills bankers and analysts already use daily
  • Asynchronous work
  • No AI experience needed
  • "High demand" badge

Less good:

  • Only 5 openings, the fewest of the four listings on this project
  • US, UK or Canada only
  • Wide band with no published placement criteria
  • A portfolio is expected, which is awkward when most of your best decks are confidential
  • No hours, duration or start date published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage

About this listing

Posted by micro1 on its own jobs portal on 25 September 2026 and read the next day. micro1 posted the same project four times, each tuned to a profession: Finance, Consulting, Software Engineering and Data Science Specialist, all at $150–350/hour and all in the US, UK or Canada. They share the slide reconstruction core and differ in the subject matter on the slides. For general PowerPoint work without the domain expertise, micro1's Powerpoint Specialist listing pays $20–60/hour. See micro1.
