What you'll do

This is a short, fixed-scope project rather than an open-ended contract. You complete a series of structured tasks (at least four) that simulate real US household finance: budgeting, tax filing steps and everyday digital banking. Along the way you enter and verify financial data in online banking platforms, finance apps and simple spreadsheets, follow detailed written instructions, and document each step clearly so the AI learns how people actually move through these workflows.

You manage your own pace, but everything has to be delivered by Wednesday, 21 October 2026.

The account-linking requirement

Eligibility depends on securely connecting your own US-based financial account(s) through Plaid. micro1's ad says all personally identifiable information is redacted before downstream use. That is a meaningful ask, so before you apply:

  • Check exactly which accounts must be linked, and whether read-only access is all that is requested
  • Find out how long the connection stays active and how to revoke it afterwards (most banks and Plaid's own portal let you disconnect)
  • Ask what transaction data is kept, for how long, and who the end customer is; the ad does not say
  • Consider linking a secondary account rather than your main one, if the task rules allow it

If you are not comfortable sharing account data with a third party, this project is not for you, however simple the tasks are.

Who fits

  • You currently live in the United States and hold US-based financial accounts
  • You personally filed a 2025 US federal income tax return
  • You are comfortable with household budgeting, online banking and finance apps
  • You are methodical with data entry and can follow detailed written instructions
  • Basic spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets or Excel)

No finance qualification and no AI experience are needed. This is a consumer-experience project, not a professional one.

What it pays

A one-time lump sum of $2,535, micro1's published figure, conditional on linking your account(s) via Plaid and completing a minimum of four tasks. No hourly rate is given, so your effective rate depends on how long the tasks take, which the ad does not estimate. The payment date and method are not stated.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A fixed, clearly stated payment rather than an hourly band
  • No professional credentials required; ordinary personal finance experience is the bar
  • 50 openings, flagged high demand, with rolling onboarding
  • Short commitment with a clear end date

Less good:

  • Linking your own financial accounts to a third party is the price of entry
  • The deadline is 21 October 2026, days after we read the ad, so there is little time to onboard and finish
  • No estimate of how long the four tasks take
  • The payment date, the customer and data-retention terms are not published
