What you'll do
This is US healthcare regulatory practice as training data. The three statutes the ad names (HIPAA, the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute) set the centre of gravity: privacy and the fraud-and-abuse rules that govern physician referrals and payments.
The tasks:
- Reviewing and annotating healthcare regulatory documents for accuracy and clarity
- Analysing complex policies, statutes and regulations
- Drafting and refining contract language so it complies with US healthcare law (think physician services, management and referral-adjacent arrangements, where the safe harbors and exceptions do the work)
- Giving detailed feedback on compliance issues and identifying legal risk in the scenarios you are given
- Adding expert commentary and interpretation to AI training data
- Discussing findings with project stakeholders
Who fits
Listed as preferred:
- A JD and active bar admission in the United States
- Substantial healthcare law practice at a major US firm (BigLaw) or a top healthcare-focused firm
- Expertise in HIPAA, Stark and Anti-Kickback compliance
- Reviewing, annotating and drafting complex healthcare legal documents
- Advisory experience on healthcare compliance
- Strong writing, attention to detail and an analytical mindset
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively on a remote project
The "or a top healthcare-focused firm" clause names boutique healthcare regulatory firms as an alternative to BigLaw, which widens the pool compared with the title.
What it pays
$140–400/hour. No compensation structure or placement basis is published.
Worth knowing
Good:
- A high band for regulatory work

Less good:
- Only 10 openings, and listed for about two months
- A $260-wide band with no stated placement basis
- In-house healthcare counsel are not named in the profile
- No pay structure, hours or duration published
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, no notice period, your own tax to manage
