What you'll do

This is micro1's contract-redlining template pointed at fund formation. You negotiate and redline in simulated exercises, then review how an AI model handles the same contract scenarios and write expert feedback on where it misjudged risk or language. You also build objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria, and work with product and research teams on the data and guidelines behind an AI contract review product.

The documents that make this listing distinct are the ones on the card: LPAs, subscription agreements and side letters, with ISDAs and M&A also tagged. Anyone who has run an LPA markup against a side-letter MFN process knows how much of that work is judgement about precedent and investor leverage, and that judgement is what the project is capturing.

Who qualifies

  • A JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction
  • At least two years in the funds department of a corporate law firm
  • Familiarity with LPAs, subscription agreements and side letters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with close attention to detail
  • The ability to turn legal knowledge into feedback an AI team can use
  • Experience on cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced settings

Prior exposure to AI, legal tech or training projects is preferred. The ad files these fund documents under "standard M&A agreements", which is loose; read it as fund-formation paper. The location is "Remote" with no country named.

What it pays

$90–130/hour as a target, earned per task. Compensation is per completed task that meets the project specifications, the average handling time is about 3.5 hours, and the effective hourly rate depends on how many tasks are completed and signed off.

At that average, a signed-off task works out at roughly $315–455. That is our arithmetic, not a per-task fee micro1 publishes. Rejected work is not paid, and no sign-off rate is stated.

The bar here is the lowest of micro1's current redlining listings on this band: two years rather than three. It is also the only one of them that requires a US bar admission, so it trades a shorter experience floor for a harder credential gate.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A two-year experience floor, reachable for mid-level funds associates
  • 100 openings, flagged new and high demand
  • Fund formation is a specialism that rarely gets its own AI training listing
  • The pay mechanism and average task length are published
  • Part-time by design and fully remote

Less good:

  • Pay depends on sign-off, and unaccepted tasks earn nothing
  • Early tasks will likely run past the 3.5-hour average at your own cost
  • In-house fund counsel are not named; the requirement is a law firm funds department
  • No start date, weekly hours or project length stated
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, no notice period, your own tax to manage

About this listing

Posted by micro1 on its own jobs portal three days before we read it on 24 September 2026. The $90–130/hour band, the 100 openings, the two-year requirement and the task-based compensation terms are its published text; the per-task figure is our calculation. See micro1.
