What you'll do
This is a litigation simulation, not document review. You are handed a detailed commercial contract dispute and work it across multiple turns: draft the motion, brief, demand letter or discovery request the scenario calls for, then respond when simulated opposing counsel moves, keeping a consistent case theory and strategic posture from one turn to the next.
Each turn mirrors associate-to-partner review. A senior lead gives direction, you fold the feedback into the next draft, and you flag procedural questions, missing facts or ambiguities rather than guessing through them. Alongside every draft you write rubric items: the benchmarks a strong, persuasive response would meet under US commercial litigation standards. Those rubrics are what the AI will be measured against, so the quality of your judgement about "what good looks like" matters as much as the draft itself.
All material is public or synthetic.
Who fits
- An active or lapsed licence in at least one US jurisdiction
- At least three years of substantive post-JD litigation focused on commercial contract disputes (breach, performance, interpretation, damages)
- Hands-on drafting of motions, discovery and pleadings
- The ability to draft under supervision without needing repeated direction
- Excellent written English and command of litigation register
Law firm experience (BigLaw, boutique or mid-market), federal court practice, and prior AI training or evaluation work are all pluses. The ad states the location as Remote, US-based.
What it pays
$100/hour, a single published figure rather than a band. That makes it one of the easier micro1 legal listings to plan around. The ad does not say whether it is paid per hour or per task, but multi-turn drafting with rubric writing tends to be judged by the turn, so ask how a turn is counted.
Timing
The ad says roles are typically filled within 48 hours and that selected experts are expected to start their first tasks within 24–48 hours of finishing onboarding. With one opening, this is a listing to act on quickly or skip.
Worth knowing
Good:
- A flat, published $100 rate
- The work is real litigation drafting and strategy, close to actual practice
- A lapsed licence qualifies
- Rubric writing builds a skill that transfers to other AI evaluation work
- Public or synthetic material only
Less good:
- One opening, and a 48-hour fill window
- Multi-turn scenarios are hard to fit around a full caseload once they start moving
- No weekly hours or project length stated
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, no notice period, your own tax to manage
