What you'll do
The project wants a record of how construction teams really use Procore, captured by people who have run projects in it. You complete realistic workflows inside the platform: raising and answering RFIs, moving submittals through review, working with drawings and document sets, logging inspections and keeping project records current. Then you explain, step by step, what you did and why.
There is a review side as well. You go through project information looking for errors, missing data and workflow problems, and you build realistic examples and scenarios based on how construction projects actually unfold. Everything is written up to the project's guidelines and handed over asynchronously.
The output is training data for AI systems, but the skill being tested is construction administration. If you have ever chased a late submittal or cleaned up a drawing log, that is the knowledge being paid for.
Who fits
- Solid hands-on Procore use in a professional construction setting
- A background in construction project management, project engineering or construction operations
- Working familiarity with RFIs, submittals, drawings, inspections, documents and project tracking in Procore
- Enough fluency to complete common workflows without help
- A real understanding of construction processes and terminology
- The ability to explain and document how a task was done, clearly enough for someone else to follow
All of these are listed as preferred qualifications. The ad sets no minimum years, asks for no certification and does not require AI experience.
What it pays
$90–175/hour, micro1's published figure for this role. That is high for software-workflow documentation: micro1's QuickBooks Specialist is listed at $90–170/hour, while its Salesforce Specialist sits at $28–92/hour. The ad does not say what decides where you land in the band, and it publishes no weekly hours or project length.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Pays for construction administration experience you already have, with no annotation tooling to learn up front
- A $90 floor is strong for this kind of work
- 40 openings and a high-demand badge, so the project is actively hiring
- No certification, minimum years or AI background asked for
Less good:
- Writing up every click and decision is slower and duller than doing the work itself
- The ad does not say whether you work in a live Procore account, a sandbox, or your own company's instance; ask before connecting anything from an employer
- No hours, duration or placement criteria for the pay band are published
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
