What you'll do
This is benchmark authoring, not admin work. You build the test an AI agent will have to pass: a realistic administrative problem that needs several tools to solve, such as reconciling a clashing calendar, working a travel and expense claim through, sorting a records request, or drafting the right piece of professional correspondence.
For each scenario you create the evidence the agent will see (emails, calendar entries, receipts, meeting notes, contact records), then write down the correct outcome and the chain of decisions an experienced assistant would make to get there. The last step is a rubric of at least 35 criteria that scores both whether the agent followed a sound process and whether it made the judgment calls a professional would.
Project leads calibrate difficulty with you, so the tasks stay close to what senior assistants actually face.
Who fits
- Five or more years supporting teams or departments in a mid-to-large organisation
- Ownership of recurring workflows, not just ad hoc requests
- Experience documenting, auditing and improving inherited procedures
- Strong command of professional correspondence
- Careful attention to detail, since your rubric is the answer key
- Comfort with CSVs, PDFs, spreadsheets and technical documents
No AI experience is required.
What it pays
The ad shows a $20–40/hour band, but the compensation section says pay is output-based: you are paid per task that meets the project specifications, with a minimum weekly submission requirement (the exact number is not given in the ad). So the hourly figure is an equivalent that depends on how fast you produce accepted tasks. A 35-criterion rubric plus a full set of mock artifacts is a lot of work per task; your first ones will be slow.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Fifty openings and a high-demand flag
- Makes real use of senior administrative judgment
- micro1 says roles fill within 48 hours and tasks start within 24–48 hours of onboarding, so it moves fast
Less good:
- Per-task pay: rejected work is unpaid and no acceptance rate is published
- A weekly minimum applies, which limits how flexible this really is
- The per-task fee is not stated anywhere in the ad
- Contractor engagement, no benefits
