What you'll do

This is one of the newer Turing language roles (December 2025) and the ad gives it a long ceiling: the contract can run for a maximum of 12 months. The work is analyst-style: read and summarise long content, break it into logical blocks, verify claims through online research, and work with the model on puzzle questions it gets wrong, writing the correct answer and explanation. The ad's examples are a sales growth comparison by location and a postman delivery puzzle.

English and Bahasa Indonesian are both required.

Who fits

  • English and Bahasa Indonesian (mandatory)
  • Research and analytical skills, constructive feedback, creative thinking
  • Independent remote worker with laptop or desktop and a good connection
  • Preferred: a degree in engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics or similar (or experience), professional writing, Excel and Google Suite, data interpretation

The ad requires no other domain experience.

What it pays

No rate is published. Turing sets rates per project (see Turing). The ad refers to competitive compensation based on experience and expertise.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Maximum contract length of 12 months, longer than the two-month versions of this role
  • Remote with flexible hours
  • No specialism needed
  • Possible extension based on performance and project needs

Less good:

  • "Maximum" means a ceiling, not a guarantee
  • 2 to 5 hours a day of overlap with US Pacific time (UTC-8) required
  • Contractor position, no medical or paid leave
  • The ad lists no hours per week beyond the requirement to commit 40 hours a week, and describes no assessment steps, so ask what the process involves
  • No pay figure
