What you'll do

The job sits where prompt writing, tool use and policy meet. You design, review and refine the prompts and instructions that govern how an AI system works with tools, APIs and external services such as Slack and PayPal. You read API and JSON schemas to confirm the model used the right parameters, run simple SQL to validate data, and write down the policies and guidelines that govern the AI's behaviour. You also judge AI responses for reasoning quality and policy adherence, apply content filtering guidelines to catch unsafe or non-compliant output, and check prompts and responses across several locales.

Findings go back to product, engineering and safety teams, with edge cases and rationales documented in clear, concise writing.

Who fits

• 3 to 6 years in any mix of AI operations, content review, QA, product operations, policy or technical support
• Strong API and JSON literacy, and SQL basics
• Demonstrated prompt engineering or experience writing clear structured instructions for AI or automation
• Proven policy drafting and application, and familiarity with tool workflows in SaaS platforms
• Strong safety awareness, judgment on ambiguous cases and attention to detail
• Comfort with multilingual contexts across many locales

Worth knowing

Good:

• A varied skill mix: non-engineers with policy or QA backgrounds can fit
• The hours, duration and evaluation step are stated: at least 4 hours a day and 20 hours a week, 3 months (adjustable), a 60-minute technical interview

• No pay figure
• Open only to India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico
• Requires 4 hours of overlap with PST
• Contractor assignment with no medical or paid leave; the exposure to harmful content is part of the safety work
