What you'll do

Marathi is the language of Maharashtra, and English spoken by Marathi speakers is the variety AfterQuery is collecting here. You record yourself reading a supplied script, following a written step-by-step guide, then upload it through the project's platform. The ad says the whole thing takes about 15 minutes or less.

The recording is only useful if the accent is real, so the ad warns that imitated accents are removed and not paid.

Who fits

• A natural Marathi-influenced English accent, not a performed one
• A phone or computer with a microphone
• Independent reading of simple written English instructions
• Any gender

Nice to have: earlier voice recording, narration or audio contribution experience.

What it pays

The board shows $30/hr, but the description pays $50 flat for one recording submission. At about 15 minutes of work the flat fee is the figure that matters. The ad does not say whether repeat submissions are possible.

Worth knowing

Good:

• One short sitting and a flat fee
• Nothing technical beyond a microphone
• Marathi is one of several South Asian accents in this same batch, so there is a clear category for it

Less good:

• Only 3 to 5 Marathi-accent speakers will be accepted; apply promptly
• If the accent is judged imitated, no payment
