What you'll do

Invisible splits this French voice project three ways. The tracks are French (France), French (Canada) and French (Africa), each a "Native Speaker for Voice Recording" role. Whichever you pick, the work is recording French voice content, reviewing audio samples, and cross-comparing spoken recordings against written text for accuracy, clarity, naturalness and guideline alignment.

The listing is unusually explicit about the varieties it wants covered: Canadian French, French as used in France, and African French. Québécois vowels and vocabulary, the rhythms of Dakar, Abidjan or Kinshasa French, and Parisian norms all differ, and a speech model that only hears one of them sounds foreign to the others. The African track in particular is rarer than it should be in AI voice work, which mostly defaults to France.

The listing does not say what the recordings train, how long sessions are, or how much work each track receives.

Who fits

  • Native-level French
  • Strong familiarity with French as used in Canada, France or French-speaking Africa, matched to your track
  • A clear speaking voice and a careful ear for pronunciation, accent and phrasing
  • Comfort working from detailed guidelines

The regions describe the variety you speak; the listing names no country you must live in. No degree, years of experience or AI background is required. Recording equipment is not mentioned; assume a quiet room and a decent microphone.

What it pays

$17.00 an hour, one fixed rate across all three tracks, and the same as Invisible's other voice and audio listings. For a contractor in francophone Africa paid in US dollars, that can go further than the same figure in Paris or Montréal. Contract terms say payment is issued weekly via Stripe or Wise, and that Invisible cannot support H-1B or STEM OPT contractors.

Onboarding: upload your résumé (about 5 minutes), then unlock paid projects (about 30 minutes, an unpaid qualification step).

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A dedicated track for African French speakers, which few voice projects offer
  • Canadian French treated as its own variety rather than folded into France
  • Fully remote on your own schedule, with weekly Stripe or Wise payment in the terms
  • A clearer brief than Invisible's French Text and Audio listing, which mixes in Japanese

Less good:

  • $17 an hour flat, whatever the track
  • About 30 minutes of unpaid qualification
  • No minimum amount of work; projects can end early
  • No detail on end use, session length or available hours
  • No H-1B or STEM OPT contractors

About this listing

Read on Invisible's Meridial marketplace on 26 September 2026, posted about three months before we read it. The rate, the three tracks, the onboarding steps and the payment terms are the listing's own; the notes on regional French are ours.
