Image Data Contributor and Evaluator

What you'll do

This is a test of an AI-powered photo product, and you supply the test material. You pick images that meet the project's eligibility rules, add them, and then write about them: what is happening, why it matters, the details someone would need to know, and anything you know about the image that the picture alone does not show.

Then you look at what the product did with it. The listing lists the questions you are answering: does it understand the content and context of the images, does it use the information you gave it, does it connect related details across several images, are its results accurate, trustworthy and safe, does it respond properly when you comment or correct it, and does the whole thing feel helpful and natural.

The listing does not say what makes an image eligible, how many images you contribute, or which product is being tested.

Your photos and privacy

Unlike most evaluation work, the raw material is yours: images you contribute plus your own knowledge of them, which for many people means personal photos of family, friends or places. The listing does not say how contributed images are stored, who can see them, how long they are kept, or whether they are used beyond this evaluation. Ask before uploading anything that shows other people or private information, and read the Statement of Work closely.

Who fits

No professional background is required. What the work rewards:

• A collection of photos you know well enough to explain in detail
• Clear, specific written descriptions rather than one-line captions
• A critical eye for when an AI gets something subtly wrong
• Honest answers on the eligibility survey; the listing asks for accuracy and says finishing the survey does not guarantee a place

The listing names no working language or country requirement.

What it pays

$17 an hour, the common rate across Invisible's general evaluation listings. It is the same rate as the AI Personalization Evaluation Expert listing, which tests a similar idea (an AI that uses your own context) through conversation rather than photos.

The contract terms say payment is weekly via Stripe or Wise, and that Invisible cannot support H-1B or STEM OPT contractors.

Worth knowing

Good:

• No specialist skills needed
• Straightforward, fairly intuitive work: describe your photos and judge the results
• Remote, on your own schedule

Less good:

• $17 an hour is low for the market
• You provide the data, and the listing says nothing about how your images are handled
• An eligibility survey on top of the resume upload (about 5 minutes) and unpaid qualification step (about 30 minutes), with no guarantee of placement
• No minimum amount of work; projects can end early
• Independent contractor terms: no benefits, your own tax to manage
