What you'll do
The client wants an AI that understands commercial real estate the way practitioners do, and your job is to supply that understanding in writing. You give expert input on feasibility studies, valuations and core CRE concepts; analyse commercial lease agreements; build realistic property management scenarios; and write clear, detailed explanations of transactions and market trends.
A distinctive thread is cross-jurisdiction nuance: the ad asks you to flag where legal and regulatory frameworks differ across the US, Canada, the UK and Europe. Someone who has handled, say, a triple-net lease in Texas and a full repairing and insuring lease in London will have more to add than someone who knows one market deeply.
The work runs in iterative feedback cycles with other subject experts and the project team, checking accuracy and comparing notes on property management practice.
Who fits
Required:
- 5–10+ years as a commercial real estate broker, property valuation appraiser or property manager
- Working knowledge of feasibility studies, lease agreements and property management strategy
- Excellent written and spoken English with close attention to detail
- The ability to explain complex real estate concepts simply
- Familiarity with market analysis and commercial appraisals
- Adaptability and professionalism on remote, cross-functional teams
- At least 10 hours a week of availability
Preferred:
- Location in the US, Canada or the UK; exceptional candidates in Europe or LATAM are considered
- Prior AI, data-training or proptech project work
What it pays
$40–65/hour, micro1's published band. No compensation structure or project length is stated. For comparison, micro1's Litigation Attorney (Commercial Real Estate) listing pays $100/hour, which reflects the legal credential rather than the property expertise.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Opens AI training work to brokers, appraisers and property managers, not only lawyers and analysts
- A defined minimum commitment (10+ hours a week) rather than open-ended availability
- Multi-market experience counts in your favour
- Location is a preference, not a hard restriction
Less good:
- $40–65 is modest for someone with 5–10+ years in CRE
- Only 10 openings
- No hiring steps, duration or compensation structure published
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
