What you'll do

AI agents that operate creative software need to see how experienced people actually use it, and FL Studio is a hard case: the Channel Rack, Piano Roll, Playlist and Mixer interact in ways that are second nature to a producer and opaque to a model.

You take assigned workflows (building a pattern, arranging a track, editing audio, routing and mixing, designing a sound, organising a project) and complete them in FL Studio while recording your screen, showing each step clearly. From each workflow you then write a realistic prompt that would have led to it and a detailed rubric for judging whether an agent did it right, plus documentation of the tools, features and techniques you used. You also review task outputs against project guidelines.

The rubric is where producer judgment shows. "Added a sidechain" is not the same as a sidechain that ducks the right amount at the right time, and a good rubric has to catch the difference.

Who fits

All listed as preferred:

  • Strong hands-on FL Studio experience in music production, audio editing or sound design
  • Current access to FL Studio and the ability to use it independently
  • Comfort recording and sharing your screen
  • Close attention to detail and to written instructions

No professional credits, formal training or years of experience are asked for, which puts bedroom producers with deep FL skill in scope.

What it pays

$30–100/hour, micro1's published band. No compensation structure, weekly hours or project length is stated, and nothing explains placement across a spread of more than 3x.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • New listing with 40 openings
  • No formal credentials; demonstrable FL Studio skill is what counts
  • A potentially strong rate for producers
  • Uses the software you already own and know

Less good:

  • You need your own FL Studio licence (the edition required is not stated; some features are only in higher tiers)
  • Screen recording is part of every task
  • No compensation structure, hours or hiring steps published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage

About this listing

Posted by micro1 on its own jobs portal and read on 24 September 2026. The $30–100/hour band, the 40 openings and the access and screen-recording requirements are micro1's published text. It uses the same workflow-recording template and band as micro1's Clio Specialist listing for legal software. See micro1.
